We went to Ios, for the first time, in August 2024 and absolutely loved it!

We stayed for 4 nights at Ios Palace and 4 nights at Lofos Village Hotel. We loved both; however, the locations are very different and that needs to be considered when choosing which you would prefer. Both hotels however were beautiful and we would recommend them to everyone!

Ios Palace is set on a hill and overlooks Mylopotas beach, so if you are looking for a beach holiday then this is ideal: close to chilled beach bars, beach clubs and some great restaurants! The hotel has two pools, with lots of space, and beautiful views. The hotel provides a great breakfast and there is a spa onsite. The area of Mylopotas becomes quiet around 10/11pm but a bus to the main Chora runs until midnight and is a 2 minute walk away from the Hotel, costing around 2 euros. Stumbling back to the hotel after a night out isn't an issue and taxis do run on the island.

Lofos Village is a much smaller, family-run hotel which overlooks the Chora, the main town. Mylopotas beach is around 1.5km away but again, there are regular bus services. The hotel itself is quiet, clean and has a great chilled vibe to it. We stayed in a room with a panoramic view and would definitely recommend - watching the sunset over the Chora was definitely a highlight of our stay there! The hotel has a pool, which was extremely quiet when we were there, and the hotel manager could not do enough for us! If you’re looking for a hotel which is close to the main town then this is ideal!

Although Ios Palace and Lofos Village are our recommendations, we did visit other hotels during our stay and got to know the area well so please feel free to run any hotels by us before booking!
Unfortunately not. The venue isn’t safe for children and we would like our special day to be an adults-only occasion.
Transport will be provided to ensure you arrive at the Cycladic for a 6pm arrival time.
We would like all our family and friends to be fully present in the moment whilst we marry; therefore, we kindly ask that you refrain from taking photographs. We also ask for phones to be away and on silent for an unplugged ceremony.

We are more than happy for you to take photos/videos once the ceremony is over. We just ask that you do not post anything on social media before we do.

Please also upload all your photos/videos to our album on ‘Wedshoots’. Simply scan our QR code, which will be displayed around the venue, and upload your captured memories!
Yes, of course!

A ‘Wedding Welcome Party’ will be held on the evening of Friday August 8th. All are invited - location and time TBC.

We also welcome everyone to join us for celebrations on the Monday 11th August as a final party before the weekend comes to a close - again, location and time TBC.

More information for both events will be communicated closer to the time but be sure not miss them!
